Sarah Sweeney | Integrated Display Manager | Denstu

Sarah Sweeney

I began my career at Dentsu in 2021 as a Display Planning Assistant in the Amplifi team shortly after completing my degree during lockdown. Since then, I’ve remained within the team and developed my expertise across media planning, buying and activation, navigating several business and structural changes along the way. My experience spans managed service and programmatic activation as well as publishing planning, which has enabled my progression into the Manager role I’ve held since 2023.

I’ve worked on a variety of clients from a variety of verticals in that time. Ranging from travel, insurance, retail and charity clients to name a few. For all my clients I try to bring a keen eye for detail as well as a positive and solutions orientated approach. I collaborate and work closely with media owners as well as our own internal product team to find the right media solutions for clients and their advertising needs.

Beyond my day to day responsibilities, I contribute to Dentsu’s culture and wider initiatives. I’m part of the Culture Champions network, helping support and shape the workplace environment. I have also played a role in amplifying Dentsu’s thought leadership, including delivering webinars as part of our MCA programme.

Developing talent is an area I particularly enjoy. I have supported the growth of junior team members through training, participated in Global Academy work experience days, and serve as an Integrated Display Representative for Dentsu’s Amplifi Academy.

Dee Champaneri | Senior Operations Manager | Virgin Media O2

Over the past seven years, Virgin Media O2 has become much more than just the place where I work—it's where I've grown, learned, and shaped my career. Every step of my journey here has strengthened my resilience, sharpened my skills, and deepened my passion for creating meaningful impact and driving innovation.

After finishing university, I took a leap and moved to Italy to teach English, earning my CELTA qualification along the way. Living and working in a new culture pushed me to grow quickly—it built my confidence, strengthened my communication skills, and taught me how to adapt in completely new environments.

With a long-standing ambition to work in media, I moved to London and landed what felt like a dream role at Guardian News and Media as an Advertising Executive. It was an incredible introduction to the world of digital advertising and relationship management, and it gave me a solid grounding in an industry that was evolving at pace.

From there, I moved into Account Management roles within advertising technology companies, further developing my ability to build strategic client relationships and drive commercial growth. Today, I bring together experience across advertising technology, operational delivery, and commercial strategy. I’m passionate about identifying new opportunities in the advertising ecosystem and championing innovative solutions that unlock revenue and deliver real value for both our clients and the business.

My career path has been shaped by a long‑standing passion for design, problem‑solving and customer experience, bringing a distinctive perspective to how I approach insight. I studied Product Design before beginning my career in graphic design and marketing; experience that continues to influence how I structure and communicate insight, with a strong focus on clarity and end‑user needs.

I began my data career at the British Heart Foundation, the nation’s heart charity, as a Data Analyst, where I taught myself SQL and developed a strong grounding in using data to answer real business questions. Yasmeen Gurung | Senior Delivery Manager | Bank of England

After graduating from Keele University with a degree in Computer Science, I began my career at BT in 2019 as a Technology Graduate. I progressed quickly into a specialist delivery role after leading major programmes, including rollout of FTTP, launching SOADSL to support customers without fibre access, and delivering Ofcom Switching. In 2025, I continued applying my delivery and leadership skills in the public sector by joining the Bank of England as a Senior Delivery Manager within the Prudential Regulation Authority’s Technology Division. Our team develops and supports the Bank’s regulatory data systems and my role enables me to lead within an agile Continuous Delivery model while contributing to work that has meaningful impact across the UK’s financial sector. My commitment to technology for good and digital inclusion began through volunteering with Open Learning Exchange Nepal, an organisation providing free, open access to educational resources through technology which was an experience that encouraged me to help others thrive. Supporting the next generation is important to me and through the Avado FastFutures and the ELEVATE programme, I’ve mentored students from under‑represented backgrounds, ultimately helping them secure their first role. As a Delegate on the Aleto Foundation programme which focuses on transforming diversity in leadership, I saw the the truth behind the phrase “you can’t be what you can’t see” and reminds me to step forward and open doors for others.

Sharon Dorsen | Senior Privacy Counsel | Liberty Specialty Markets

I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved as a woman raised by a single parent on a council estate. From those beginnings, I have become a lawyer who enables my clients to meet their strategic objectives within the complex frameworks of regulation and the law. I genuinely love my job; navigating the intersection of innovation and consumer protection gives me a profound sense of purpose.

I have been an in-house lawyer for nearly 10 years, a decade defined by the privilege of working for several distinguished global companies across various sectors from financial services to utilities and retail alongside truly excellent people. However, my journey to this point was defined by resilience. My route to qualification was not smooth; I spent nine years striving to qualify while working in several paralegal roles. Throughout this time, I was navigating the corporate world with dyslexia, which was only diagnosed in my adulthood. This experience made me want to succeed and prove that with determination, anything is possible.

While I initially began my career as a general commercial lawyer, I eventually found my niche in Data Protection and Responsible AI. My practice is dedicated to ensuring that clients use data and AI responsibly, keeping in mind that there are humans behind the data.

Being called to the Bar in Ghana in 2022 was a deeply personal achievement. It is both a privilege and humbling to qualify in the motherland which renewed my love for the law.
