Ilinca Georgescu is the Founder and CEO of Trem, a digital health startup developing technology to help people understand and track tremor disorders through wearable devices and AI. Trem’s mission is to remove the guesswork from tremor care by providing objective measurement tools that support better diagnosis, treatment, and research. Ilinca founded Trem after being diagnosed with Essential Tremor at the age of 27. Essential Tremor is one of the most common movement disorders in the world. It is a chronic neurological condition that can worsen with age and, in severe cases, become a significant physical disability affecting everyday activities such as eating or dressing.

Before founding Trem, Ilinca worked as an architect before transitioning into the technology sector, where she led digital transformation initiatives at DC Thomson. She brings a multidisciplinary background spanning architecture, design, and technology, and is a second-time founder building products at the intersection of health, AI, and user experience.Alongside her work as a founder, Ilinca teaches UX/UI design and actively mentors and advocates for women entering the technology industry.

Under her leadership, Trem has secured early support from the University of Oxford, been selected for multiple innovation programmes, and is collaborating with universities across the UK and Europe to validate its technology. Ilinca believes that no one should ever be told to ‘just learn to live with it’.
