
Lydia joined the Ministry of Defence as a HR and Recruitment Support Officer in 2022 after completing University. She was promoted to Recruitment Team Leader after 6 months, leading and managing a team of recruitment professionals, and spearheading the project ‘Street to Seat’ to reduce onboarding times to enable the continuity of education for Service Personnel’s children overseas.
Following this, Lydia worked on the Boxer Programme for two years across multiple programme controls work strands where she notably pioneered a programme controls dashboard to be utilised across the British Army Programmes Portfolio to improve the quality of programme controls data to better inform senior stakeholder briefings. The dashboard was presented as Portfolio best practice, and she was awarded a 4* Chief of the General Staff coin.
Lydia in her current role within Taskforce RAPSTONE , has been recognised as operating in one of the most demanding and fast moving environments in Defence as acting Programme Controls Manager ensuring the continuity and coherence of programme controls activity for an Operational Portfolio. She been recognised as having a significant impact on the successful mobilisation and operational delivery of operational capabilities at pace to the Field Army.
Lydia is committed to her own professional development achieving Full MAPM status as well as developing those around her as a mentor, Women Empowering Defence Ambassador and Social Mobility Ambassador.
