Khyati Bhatt

Khyati Bhatt | Simply Body Talk

Khyati Bhatt
I post-graduated on the Dean's list from S P Jain Centre of Management, Dubai. After working in the corporate world and mentoring in family business, I trained with worldclass nonverbal expert exFBI Joe Navarro for Mastery in Nonverbal Communication. I started Simply Body Talk in 2013. It was a rocky ride initially but last year we have seen exponential growth in terms of reach, visibility and acceptance. Our verticals include consultancy, learning and coaching. This is a totally new concept for India because we go into depths of what people know intuitively, based on solid science. Launching online classes and book in coming few months. Starting a psychophysiological lab a year from now. Lots of investment for me, but I am focused and I know by having built a rock solid team, we will reach there soon!

Dhara Mehta

Dhara Mehta | The Kids Company

Dhara Mehta

Back in 2008, an M.B.A. working in a MNC, I was unaware that the sabbatical taken then to embrace motherhood will be my final goodbye to the corporate world!

While I was raising my son I picked up a very important insight, ‘Play is the work of childhood and the highest form of education’

On observing mommies & children around I realised that while play was a part of a child's routine it was often used by caregivers as a form of relaxation or break from learning. However as a mother I realised that PLAY was the best educational tool an adult could have!

This thought ignited a spark in me - to create a service which could bridge this gap of play & learning. It sounded vague to many but I believed in my dream.

I took up a formal course & worked in a daycare cum activity centre. The formal course & practical experience both reinforced my belief & in 2013 'The Kids Company’ was born.

Today I am a hands on mommy, a qualified E.C.C. Ed & a passionate entrepreneur.

Starting off with just 2 kids, I have reached out to hundreds of kids not only from the vicinity but a lot of NRI kids too.

Being featured in the leading dailes of Mumbai & bagging some Kids & Mothers choice awards with loads of positive parent testimones surely reassures my belief, ‘follow your passion and you will never fail!’

Shweta Sarfare

Shweta Sarfare | Foundation for Mother and Child Health India

Shweta Sarfare

I’m Shweta Sarfare, 29 years old, married to Vilas and have a beautiful 6 year old daughter.

My family wanted to discontinue my education after 10th standard due to family financial crisis and strong gender discrimination and wanted me to get married at early as 15 years.

I was determined and didn’t lose hope, just than I found my guardian angel in my aunt who supported me financially to pursue 12th std and then Nursing course. After competition of Nursing course from Sumeet Academy in 2005, I wanted to pursue graduation in Nursing but again due to family objection I took up nursing job to save money for college fees.

But at 22, my parents got me married against my will because of cultural pressure of being eldest daughter and fear of most nurses remaining single throughout their life. I continued working in hospital but was passionate to work in NGO and that’s when social worker friend shared her experience of working in NGO and offered job opportunity.

Without thinking much, I grabbed the opportunity and joined Foundation for Mother and Child Health NGO in 2013 as Nurse. Initially it was challenging to work in community, juggling with family responsibilities and travelling for 4 hours to reach work but determination and will to impact lives of underprivileged community made it easy.Today, at FMCH I’m not just a Nurse but also actively involved in community mobilizations, project implementations, influencing young nursing students and other NGO activities.
