Rising Stars - Female talent awards

WeAreTheCity is delighted to open nominations for the WATC Top 50 Rising Stars Awards for 2015.

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

These new awards are the first to focus on the UK's female talent pipeline below management level and will celebrate 50 female individual contributors that represent the leaders & role models of tomorrow.   We hope that by raising the profile of our short list and winners, we will also encourage organisations to consider how they strengthen the development of their female pipeline in the future.

Recognising that careers for women may follow different timescales, the Top 50 Rising Star awards will not have any age restrictions included within the criteria. We feel we have a responsibility to ensure that female talent regardless of age and background receives the necessary support and skills to transition into key decision-making roles within our organisations.

"RBS is immensely proud to support WeAreTheCity's new Rising Star awards. Building and nurturing a strong pipeline of talented, driven women who are experts in their chosen field is critical to the success of any business and RBS is no exception to this. We are working hard to pave the way for our female employees to make the best of their career. It is important not only to recognise those women who have reached the top of their game but also those who are on their way, who have the potential to be the very best. With the support of WeAreTheCity and initiatives like this we can help those women become the shining stars of tomorrow."

  - Alison Rose, CEO, Commercial & Private Banking, RBS

"The National Black Women's Network are pleased to support the Top 50 Rising Stars Awards (2015). These awards are a great way to showcase, recognise and celebrate the top female talent who are boosting company performance, excellence and standards.  In addition they act as great role models for the next generation of female leaders who are looking to accelerate their careers; navigate the pipeline and ensure that organisations better manage succession planning."- Sonia Brown MBE, National Black Women’s Network
