 Senior Consultant and UK Risk Settlement Operations Lead | Aon Hewitt


Hannah is the UK Risk Settlement Operations Lead and a Senior Consultant in Aon Hewitt’s highly regarded Risk Settlement Group, advising on bulk annuity and longevity swap transactions.

She started her career at Aon in 2007, having obtained a First Class degree in Mathematics at the University of York.  She then qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, specialising in pensions consulting, before joining Aon’s Risk Settlement Group, where she has excelled in terms of both technical expertise and leadership.

Over the past few years, she has supported the UK Head of Risk Settlement to deliver exceptional results and significant revenue growth.  Taking responsibility for all operational aspects of the Group from new business, marketing, compliance and reporting to the development of the 50+ strong team across a number of UK locations.

In addition, Hannah has developed strong technical expertise in this highly specialised area advising on and structuring bulk annuity, longevity swap and reinsurance treaties.  In 2015, Hannah delivered successful results and advised clients on bulk annuity and longevity swap transactions covering over £8bn of liabilities.

Hannah is passionate about helping others, demonstrated by her efforts both inside and outside of work, including helping university leavers with actuarial career options, seeking opportunities for colleagues to move into different roles within Aon, mentoring colleagues and school leavers and raising money for charity.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys a sporting challenge, last year she walked 100K for the British Heart Foundation, and likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors hiking and running.
