Susan has spent the last twelve years working across tourism and cultural roles and is currently the Marketing Manager at Festivals Edinburgh, the strategic umbrella organisation for the city’s 12 major festivals. Susan leads on delivering major integrated campaigns promoting the Festival City within the UK and in key international markets. Susan has led on many key projects, including growing the annual PR output from an initial £100,000 PR AVE to in excess of £16m.
In January Susan launched Women In Tourism, a not-for-profit which aims to support, develop and motivate women within the sector to reach positions of leadership. Susan chairs a committee of nine with the most recent development the results of an industry-wide survey to identify the challenges and opportunities for women within the sector. Susan is aso a committee member of Tourism Society Scotland and on the Steering Group of Edinburgh’s China’s Ready Group.
